|
Kier Construction has extensive experience of constructing water handling, treatment and storage structures and systems.
These facilities have been provided for power plant cooling systems in the UK and overseas, for bulk liquid containment in nuclear environments as well as numerous catchment, treatment and distribution systems for water utility companies and overseas governments.
Kier Construction is currently working for United Utilities under its AMP4 programme, having successfully completed the previous AMP3 programme of works.
In the current programme of work Kier Construction is part of KMI+ working alongside United Utilities as an integrated alliance to deliver projects with a value in excess of £370m over the period of the AMP4 programme.
In the overseas market Kier Construction has similar long-term relationships. It has delivered nearly 100 self-contained rural water supply projects since 2000 for the Romanian Government, and in Dubai has worked with the Dubai Municipality almost continuously since 1994, delivering a number of drainage and sewerage schemes.
