As the commercial property arm of the Group, Kier Property has established itself as one of the UK’s leading developers.
Its substantial portfolio spans a wide range of offices, industrial, retail and mixed-use schemes designed to accommodate today’s businesses and communities with tomorrow’s needs in mind.
The business has grown through strategic single asset acquisitions, as well as key corporate transactions, including the acquisition of Laing Property Developments in 2002, J Sainsbury’s development portfolio in 2004 and a nationwide portfolio of nine development sites from Warner Estates in 2005. Its impressive track record for delivering major schemes includes over 1m sq ft of prelet office developments.
Over 1m sq ft of prelet/presold industrial schemes have also been delivered under the Trade City brand where both freehold and leasehold units of between 2,500sq ft and 10,000sq ft have proved highly popular.
With a growing emphasis on brownfield regeneration and mixed-use schemes, the company embraces sustainability, reducing the carbon footprint of its developments wherever possible. This has lead to the company being appointed developer on a number of high profile schemes and receiving many awards for its achievements.
