Supply Chain

HOME
Welcome to the Kier Group Supply Chain homepage

The Group recognises the importance of supply chain management as a means of bringing together all the team members under a common goal, allowing involvement in the entire project lifecycle and developing the benefits of better management and more innovative solutions. The key to its success is the development of an open culture, involvement in the team process and sharing of rewards.

By implementing a fully integrated supply chain within the business, Kier Group has been able to improve project processes, relationships and benchmark performance. Within our corporate benchmarking manual we have identified key performance measures to target and monitor design, continuous improvement and best value solutions that extend to our construction partners, meeting the Group policy and exceeding industry requirements.

This page contains a series of downloadable documents relating to our procurement policies and processes, split into six categories to help integrated supply chain members find the content they require.

Trading Principles

This section contains terms and conditions relevant to various members of our supply chain. They should be read and agreed before any contracts are entered into to ensure a clear understanding of our various supply chain expectations from the outset.

Health & Safety

We’re proud of our health & safety performance and recognise that members of our supply chain often play an important role in contributing to our overall performance. Supply chain members should hold appropriate qualifications required for their roles and co-operate with our various safety initiatives.

Sustainability

We recognise the need to embrace sustainable working and encourage the use of sustainable materials and the need to adopt sustainable methods of working wherever we operate. We expect our supply chain to take a proactive approach and share best practice as widely as possible.

Business Ethics

We are confident that we have all the correct measures in place to ensure our businesses are run in an ethical manner and would expect any subcontractor or supplier that we work with to adhere to our principles and embrace our business ethics.

Considerate Constructors

As an Associate Member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, we expect our supply chain partners to co-operate fully to reach our goals and targets for the scheme. The attached documents will give you guidance for being a considerate constructor.

Group Initiatives

We have made great strides in improving our methods of working through a range of initiatives: Target Zero (defects), halving waste to landfill and SUSA to name a few. We remain focused on continuous improvement and are keen that our supply chain makes a positive contribution to these initiatives.
