Kier Group, a leading UK construction and infrastructure services company, has appointed experienced executive Liam Cummins as Group Managing Director of Kier Construction. Liam will succeed Peter Young who will be leaving the Group.

Liam has spent the past 16 years with Laing O’Rourke, most recently leading its UK building division and has a wealth of experience in leading high profile projects to both public and private sector clients across the UK.

As a Quantity Surveyor graduate of Kingston University, Liam started his career at Serco before being appointed as Managing Director of the Asset Services business at John Mowlem and joining Laing O’Rourke in 2004.  He has spent time as a Director leading businesses in both Australia and the Middle East as well as his current UK focused role. 

He joins Kier to lead its Construction business which spans the UK from Inverness to Truro delivering key projects including the P2 building at Kings Cross, the new home for US Air Force F-35 Fighter Jet at RAF Lakenheath and the Braintree town centre redevelopment.
