Integrating modern construction methods
Working with the Ministry of Justice, Kier are creating new facilities and providing a full range of services throughout the Justice system across England. Our teams have significant experience in delivering projects and services within secure regimes and facilities and understand the unique challenges encountered when working within these environments.
We make full use of modern off-site manufacture and construction techniques to minimise the time we spend on site. When working in secure and potentially high-risk settings, working with the establishments personnel, we isolate our activities from the rest of the establishment to minimise the possibility of security breaches.
In this environment more than ever we understand the importance of achieving defect free standards to remove the need to revisit areas. Our experience in this sector means that always meet or exceed legislative requirements with regard to anti-ligature design and adopt industry-leading practice to guard against possible misuse of tools and equipment when carrying out the works.
A secure partner
We are a leading provider across a range of industry sectors that require high levels of vetting and security clearance, including defence, secure mental health units for the NHS and for blue-light services. We have a dedicated team managing security clearance applications and vetting processes for both our employees and our supply chain.
