Through a ten year partnership with Chesterfield Borough Council, Kier has delivered 8% of savings and improved service delivery to asset management, engineering services and hard facilities management.

The council has an extensive property portfolio which, excluding housing stock, is valued at £115m, with £77m being investment property and the remainder being operational property.

The Solution:

Developing a corporate asset management plan, Kier helps the council maximise income from existing assets and realising capital receipts, increasing income by £250k per annum and capital receipts by £8.5m.

The Impact:

The extensive portfolio generates extra annual rent to fund services, achieves occupancy levels of 96% and delivers operational savings.
