The Challenge:

The partnership will deliver the phased scheme over a proposed five year period, creating an extension to the new core business district (CBD). The buildings will offer 500,000 sq ft of commercial employment use.

The site covers 1.6 ha and is a two minute walk from Moorfield Station and a five minute walk from the city’s retail and leisure quarters.

The Solution:

Engagement has taken place and feedback from this process has been carefully considered and has assisted in shaping the master-plan to regenerate the site to the rear of Exchange Station.

Pall Mall is significantly important for the city as it is expected to attract considerable inward investment and create 1,800 jobs. It is also addressing the current under-supply of Grade A office space, which is impacting on the city as businesses with large office requirements are currently forced to look elsewhere.

The Impact:

Remediation works have commenced at the site, and subject to approval of the proposed planning application, the partnership is  expected to start on site on the first phase of the master-plan, which will be the regeneration of the Pall Mall NCP car park area.

" We have been working hard with our team, other stakeholders and vitally the local community, to progress our development plans and look forward to submitting our planning application for the first phase of development shortly. Our aim for the new Pall Mall scheme is for it to be a destination space in the city centre that will create new jobs and training opportunities "
