We have worked with SEGRO since 2006 delivering £200m of industrial and commercial units.
From the delivery of a 20,000 sq ft shell unit, including services, power doors and external lighting, to the design and construction of a 200,000 sq ft data centre, we work in close collaboration with SEGRO and their tenants to ensure communication is open, and all requirements are met whilst managing expectations.
Having a close, ongoing relationship with SEGRO means that we are able to deliver a range of industrial units that meet the clients and tenants’ needs, with steel frame structures and a mix of cladding systems including metal cladding, brickwork, silver twin skin cladding, curtain walling and terracotta.
The success of these projects centred around working collaboratively with the client and the tenants to ensure tight programme timeframes and requirements were met.
Working closely with the client and tenant on these projects included regular design team meetings and site visits to keep stakeholders involved throughout the construction.
Our winning approach is to ensure that we understand the tenant’s requirements and work to incorporate changes seamlessly throughout the works. We adapt to change and treat the tenants as if they were our own clients.
Our experience delivering industrial units for SEGRO has involved demolition and complex enabling works, including removing existing concrete slabs, substructure works including drainage diversions, concrete foundations and ground and ground water remediation, where possible looking to reuse material in other areas of the sites, minimising the amount of material going to waste and exiting the site.
During many of these projects, using careful planning, we ensured we saved programme time wherever possible, by overlapping works and ensuring there was good communication with all stakeholders involved to minimise any delays.
During construction, we work closely with neighbouring businesses and communities to our projects, creating look ahead documents to keep stakeholders up to date about what is happening on site and how works may affect them.
