The Public Services (Social Value) Act came into force in 2013, requiring people who commission public services to think about how they can also secure wider social, economic, and environmental benefits.
Ten years on, Kier held a panel discussion at the 2023 LGA Annual Conference in Bournemouth to discuss if the Social Value Model (SVM) is working for local government and where improvements can be made to meet today’s challenges.
