Project details

Thomas Keble School is a mixed-gender secondary school located in Gloucestershire.

The scheme comprises a mix of new build and refurbishment elements, as well as extensive improvements to the hard and soft landscaping, to meet the future needs and vision of the school, whilst also helping meet the Government’s net zero targets. The proposal includes:

  • Demolition of existing Laingspan/Intergrid structures
  • The construction of a new three-storey teaching block
  • Enhanced landscaping and parking

The land sits within an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). Careful consideration has been given to the site and associated inclusion, given the school's rural setting and its use by the community it sits within. The school will be net zero carbon in operation (NZCiO).

The new facilities will provide modern teaching spaces for up to 750 students.  The school provides around 150 places for Special Education Needs (SEND) which equates to 20% of the school cohort.

The project will start on site in April 2023 and will complete in June 2025.
