Alliancing

Within the markets in which we operate, we are focused on long-term partnerships and Kier has been a pioneer in modern forms of collaborative alliances on large, nationwide contracts.

We are experienced in using alliance models across our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks and Transportation business divisions. Within the Construction division, alliance models are growing in importance, including the Alliance 4 New Prisons and Accelerated Houseblocks Delivery Programmes and the recently launched Defence Estate Optimisation Programme.

Alliances create a collaborative relationship, with all partners aligned through a shared vision and objectives. Integrated setup, delivery, performance and risk management structures are the key elements critical to successful alliances, which aim to meet our clients’ requirements and to deliver their programmes on time and to budget.

Frameworks

A large number of our contracts are secured through frameworks. We form strategic alliances with public sector organisations, government bodies and local authorities to deliver vital facilities across the UK.

Benefits to clients include a faster route to market, efficient tender processes, early, close and continuous engagement, value for money, the use of local supply chains and embedded local community legacy.
