Delivering

80km

of civil engineering works

Over

20 million

cubic metres of excavation to date

330

hectares of landscape planting being carried out

Tasked with one of the largest earthmoving projects for a generation, EKFB is carrying out these works from Great Missenden to Southam. The team has focused on delivering this sustainably to protect the long-term health of the surrounding environment, while delivering social value for the areas in which we are working.

Over the course of the year nearly 2,000 of our front line colleagues have been trained in the importance of meeting environmental standards, while we have delivered more than 50 community investment projects in communities close to the works. In addition, we have now started the construction of the second of two cut and cover ‘green’ tunnels along the route, to reduce its impact on local communities and the environment.
