Kier has won two top awards at last night’s Offsite Awards ceremony which took place at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Both awards recognised Kier’s work with the Ministry of Justice on HMP Millsike, a Category C men’s prison in Yorkshire.
Kier Construction won Contractor of the Year – an award that recognises our scope and vision to adopt an offsite approach to deliver better, faster and greener custodial facilities. Key criteria for this win included working seamlessly with the offsite supply chain and design team ensuring client satisfaction, excellent health and safety practices and a commitment to sustainability and social value.
Kier Construction with the Ministry of Justice also won the Digital Construction & BIM Award for achieving excellence using digital technology in a construction setting to dramatically improve planning, design, manufacture, construction and operation of HMP Millsike.
"We are delighted that our commitment to using cutting edge technology and modern methods of construction has been recognised at the Offsite Awards. We are passionate about working with the Ministry of Justice to deliver prison places that are safe, secure and facilitate rehabilitation, whilst working together to drive innovation throughout the construction process and to deliver best-in-class assets."
