Kier Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks, as part of the Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance, has renewed its partnership with Anglian Water through a new five-year contract covering AMP8, supporting the water company’s largest-ever investment programme worth £11 billion.

The IOS Alliance plays a vital role in delivering specialised and complex projects across both clean water and water recycling services for Anglian Water. This latest contract extends a successful 10-year relationship, marking a continued commitment to collaborative delivery and operational excellence.

Under the renewed agreement, the IOS Alliance will deliver a programme of works valued at £400 million over the next five years. The scope includes everything from emergency pipe repairs to the construction of critical infrastructure such as pumping stations.

The alliance's integrated commercial framework enables partners to share best practices and pool expertise to deliver efficient, sustainable solutions that benefit customers and the environment.

"We’re proud to extend our decade-long partnership with Anglian Water through this new five-year contract and continue working alongside fellow IOS Alliance members as we move into the next AMP cycle. This renewed commitment reflects the strength of our collaborative approach and shared ambition to deliver smarter, more sustainable water infrastructure across the region. Together, we’re not just delivering projects — we’re helping shape a resilient future for the communities we serve."

Andy Lingham, managing director, Water

"As we head into our next business period, which will see us deliver more than we ever have before, we’re really pleased to be strengthening our IOS alliance with our long-term partners Barhale, Kier and M Group.

Our alliancing model here at Anglian Water is an exemplar in the industry, allowing us to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and for our region’s environment. By bringing together the best experts from each partnership, we can tackle even the toughest operational challenges. So, we’re very pleased to have our partners by our side as we begin delivering our largest investment programme to date."

Melissa Reynard, IOS Delivery Director for Anglian Water

This renewal follows Kier’s continued success in the water sector, including recent reappointments to Anglian Water’s Integrated Maintenance and Repair Developer Services (IMRDS) alliance and Integrated Metering Alliance (IMA). These partnerships underline Kier’s role in delivering vital infrastructure and long-term value across the UK water industry.
