National reach with local passion
At any one time Kier can have around 200-250 projects in operation across the UK, from Glasgow to Exeter, Cardiff to Newcastle, from rural and suburban to city centre sites. We may span the nation with our reach, but importantly these projects are delivered by local teams, with exceptional local knowledge and supply chain relationships, and a personal pride and passion for the projects that they are creating in their own communities.
We have unrivalled geographical reach through a network of over 60 local offices, and our deep-rooted knowledge and understanding of local markets and communities comes from long-standing relationships, many of which span decades.
A full range of building solutions
We have the expertise, experience and flexibility to satisfy a range of customer requirements – from a complex, strategic asset costing hundreds of millions of pounds, to a £250k extension to create more classroom space in a school. And the job doesn’t end for us when the last brick is laid either – we also maintain thousands of buildings across the UK through our facilities management business.
Specialist expertise spanning all core sectors
Our building expertise covers a whole spectrum of industry requirements, from our public-sector clients across core sectors like health, education, heritage and leisure through to more specialist projects in aviation, defence, custodial, and scientific sectors, through to core commercial work for private clients in sectors like industrial, offices, retail and residential.
We are known for our ability to problem solve, collaborate and innovate help cut through complexity, maintain timescales and keep cost to a minimum for our clients.
Transformational and award winning
Our projects can often involve high-profile structures which, when completed, can transform the skyline, kick-starting fundamental economic and social regeneration with a lasting legacy that ripples through decades.
Meanwhile smaller projects with the pressures of tight timeframes, challenging site situations and constrained budgets can be equally as transformational for project teams and occupiers as their successful delivery brings new found joy, energy and opportunity.
Constantly giving back with social value
Through corporate responsibility and by providing employment opportunities, to apprentices and business through the local supply chain, we are making a vital contribution to local economies and truly living up to our reputation as a national builder grounded in the communities where we belong.
