Kier has been named as a supplier on Government Commercial Agency's (GCA) RM6378 Facilities Management and Security Services framework, strengthening its ability to support public sector customers with integrated workplace and facilities management services.
The framework is structured across three framework periods, with a total duration of up to eight years. Kier Places, Kier’s specialist facilities management, housing maintenance and capital projects business, has been appointed to Framework 1, enabling participation in subsequent framework periods.
Kier Places will be a supplier on all available Total Facilities Management and Hard Facilities Management lots, demonstrating the breadth of its capability:
• Lot 1: Total Facilities Management
• Lot 2: Hard Facilities Management
These services span end-to-end building operations, infrastructure management, planned and reactive maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, building fabric repairs and statutory compliance.
Government Commercial Agency (GCA) is the UK’s central commercial and procurement organisation, connecting public and private sectors to achieve the best outcomes for the UK and its citizens. GCA uses its commercial expertise to create a simpler procurement experience that redirects valuable resources into essential public services – creating value for the nation.
Available to central government departments, local authorities, healthcare organisations, education institutions, emergency services and other public sector bodies, the RM6378 Facilities Management and Security Services Framework provides a compliant and efficient route to market for a wide range of estate and workplace services.
Through its Workplace Solutions team, Kier Places will support customers in managing, maintaining and optimising their estates, helping to deliver safe, efficient and high-performing environments.
Dan Andrews, director of Kier Places Workplace Solutions, said:
Public sector organisations are under increasing pressure to do more with their estates while maintaining safe, efficient environments and buildings for the people who rely on them and their services every day. This framework gives these customers access to a broad range of solutions through a trusted procurement route, helping them simplify estate management, improve building performance and focus resources where they can make the biggest difference. Being named as a supplier on the framework is an important milestone for our Workplace Solutions team and reflects the strength of our facilities management capability – and we’re looking forward to bringing our experience to both existing and new customers across the public sector.
The appointment builds on Kier Places' extensive track record across the public sector, including services provided for the Government Property Agency, Home Office and Ministry of Justice estates, alongside local authority contracts and long-term private finance initiative (PFI) partnerships throughout the country.
