Developing a deliverable solution in a dense urban multi-utility environment: A constrained site comprising of a key commuter hub and a strategic road in the City of London. This presented significant planning and delivery challenges.

A Single Source approach to utilities construction saved millions from the original utilities budget. The use of 3D modelling helped to inform 4D planning and create an optimal construction solution.
Scenarios were heavily workshopped and tested in the common data environment. A two-fold solution for the access shaft saw a single trench shared by all existing utilities. This was then widened by three metres to provide the necessary access for future construction.
Logistics were coordinated with neighbouring sites and businesses and a low emission plant with particle traps was exclusively used.
Traffic and pedestrian management was of paramount importance. Our 3D Modelling for the works showed the works before, during and after. This helped streetworks officers to understand our methodology ahead of permits being granted.
