Investing, building and maintaining
Working in collaboration with a range of partners, our property business invests and develops within the commercial and office market. Our construction, renovation and fit-out work is renowned for being meticulously planned and well executed. Our specialist teams are used to working in live environments where workers, visitors and the public carry out their activities while work is continuing.
We often get involved in projects from inception to help define the brief. By making extensive use of 3D and Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology; this helps bring proposals to life so that clients can visualise the end results.
Kier also delivers a wide range of services to commercial and office clients including the full range of technical services and facilities management.

Delivery of a 33,500ft2 Global Centre of Innovation at Infineum’s headquarters in Abingdon; featuring new petrochemical laboratories for research and development into new formulas for fuel additives; collaborative meeting spaces, office accommodation, a new staff restaurant and improved site infrastructure.

The Aperture is the first phase of residential buildings on the Greenwich Peninsula. Demolition of an existing structure followed by the design and construction of a new 22 storey residential development of 128 dwellings and one commercial unit. This is our seventh project completed for Newlon Housing Trust.

The re-emergence of Gloucestershire County Council’s (GCC) Shire Hall after its retrofit and refurbishment reads like a fairy-tale. Over 165 weeks and 82 phases of collaborative, innovative team-working, the part-listed, part 1960’s building, an eyesore, tired and inefficient, was responsibly and dynamically transformed into an elegant and highly sustainable workplace.
Design and construction of a new 7,200m2 laboratory facility. The building consists of a mixture of biology and chemistry spaces, office spaces, unfitted spaces and associated external infrastructure works. The facility has two floors of containment level 2 fitted labs and write-up areas, together with shared wash-up facilities.
The RAN (Radio Access Network) is the technology used in the UK to allow mobile phones to transmit and receive data and voice services. Ericsson are a leading provider of RAN access to many of the UK’s mobile networks and in 2013, we were appointed by Ericsson to maintain its RAN assets to keep the UK’s 4G and 5G networks live and operational
Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, one of Gloucester’s biggest employers, had offices throughout the city which were not considered future proof. They decided to consolidate all Gloucester based staff into a new purpose-build headquarters on Gloucester Business Park. The building is leased from Arlington, owners of the business park, and long-term clients of Kier.
80 Grosvenor Street is located in Mayfair, London and provides 17,500 sq ft state of the art office and retail accommodation over five storeys behind a partially retained Georgian façade. It includes high-end interior finishes, private terraces with panoramic views and luxurious contemporary spa style amenities.
Design and construction of an adult male Category C resettlement prison, designed to enhance rehabilitation. As a project integrator, Kier used a Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) component-led approach to deliver the project, setting new standards for excellence in modern methods of construction (MMC), innovation and digital technologies.
10 Lewis Cubitt Square forms part of the 67-acre King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership (KCCLP) redevelopment. It is a mixed-use 12 storey commercial development for tenant Meta, built to CAT A fit-out standard and offering nine floors of flexible office space. It also includes a large flexible retail unit at street level plus a 600-seat theatre.
A 250,000 sq. ft mixed-use building in King’s Cross which incorporated various forms of modern methods of construction (MMC) including a large slipform core, precast concrete floor units, a complex two layered precast concrete façade and unitised curtain walling, prefabricated mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) components, and modular toilets.
The design and construction of the first phase of the Northstowe Education Campus comprising of new facilities including a 4FE secondary school plus, a 110 place SEND School and Energy Centre in Cambridgeshire.
